Block Party!
I didn't count the pins, but I'm going to have to give MFMPPF the bad news...no question, we have to have a King-sized bed...this Queen just can't block these big shawls without going down to the sides of the box springs! lololol
This is a closeup of the center triangle lace pattern - this is the one I frogged completely after being about 1/2 way through the triangle!
The point is off the side of the bed...I love love love this yarn (Jo Sharp Silkroad DK Tweed), the color (Boheme), everything about this shawl project (knit on size 10 Susan Bates circulars) - THANK YOU Cheryl Oberle for a Gorgeous Design (Highland Triangle Shawl from Folk Shawls)!
But as big as it is, I really had to have some help from my favorite Knitting Assistant!
...Okay, Mom, I'm almost done on this side by the wall, could you hand me another pin please?

{gulp} OMG. Her blocked wingspan is 110 inches, and 55 from neck to tip. You're not kidding that it's One Big Shawl, Ms. Meezer!

ROTFL... At least the Meezer wasn't in the middle of it like the last photo {g}.. I'd probably have all three of ours trying to "help"
Hi again, Thanks for another great post. I can certainly relate re: the pins, all of our cats loved pins, especially the ones with the colored heads. Its quite a challenge trying to cut out a pattern from fabric when the pins are being eyed up and slid out if the opportunity presents itself (one minute of NOT paying attention is all it takes!!) Not a good plan Meezer...try the catnip instead.

Hi, All! Meezer here...Mom let me type a reply. I love to play with the pins, but I'm a good girl. I never never eat them. I carefully put them in the shawls, or take them out of the pin dish, or pinned fabrics, and drop them on the floor whenever Mom won't pay enough attention to me. But THAT's ALL...I don't particularly like the vet, you see

Oh, the blocking, the pins! I haven't yet blocked the Susan Shawl, and I don't have a spare bed big enough either. I think it will be easiest for me on a piece of unused carpet I have rolled up in the garage.
